Below are some resources for what would have been our next maths topic, decimals. There are 9 lessons, each with a power point and work sheet. With the worksheets, they are differentiated so the children can choose their challenge, similar to what we do at school. One star would be practise, two stars, challenge and three stars would be extend. There are also some greater depth resources if you really wanted to challenge yourself!

Home learning pack 2 (after Easter)

Below you will find work for the next 3 weeks for English, maths and science. Most of the English work you will find on the website Pobble 365 (see English overview for more details).

If you were looking for more work for your child to do, there are several websites that you can access that have daily lessons on. Please see below:

It is important to still ensure that your child is practising times tables (https://www.timestables.co.uk/ or Times Tables Rockstars).

Every Friday, Year 4 will have a Time Table Rockstars tournament where it will be Luna Vs Orcus. The tournament will start at 9am and will end at 4pm.

Hello Orcus class!

I hope you are all well and doing lots of work!

Below you will find resources, plans and activities to support your learning during this time.

Keep checking the page for any updates, we will try to regularly upload work so that you are all kept busy.

Year 4

Our Mediterranean Food Tasting

The children had an amazing afternoon trying out some slightly different foods that originate from Mediterranean countries across Europe. I was amazed at how resilient the children were in trying new things and giving their very honest opinions in what they thought of them. Among the delicacies we tried:

  • French goats cheese
  • Spanish chorizo
  • Italian focaccia bread

The children were brilliant throughout and hopefully thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon!

Forest Schools in the Rain

The children created imaginative and creative displays of how seeds can be dispersed by different plants, laughs and giggles followed.

World Book Day

The children looked amazing!
