Year 5/6 Football Tournament - 29th September 2022.

Today, Camulos Academy were represented proudly by ten fantastic players who worked incredibly hard. 

Our first match came against Heathlands. In a very tight battle between two evenly matched teams, a late goal ensured Camulos tasted a harsh 1-0 defeat in their opening match of the day. The team then had a rest break and even tactically observed the next match as well as their next opponents who were playing at this time. The team observed extremely well and tested Tiptree Heath strongly in their next match. Year 5's Jacob scored a goal in the first half followed by Year 6's Kyle in the second half ensured we tasted their first victory of the day with a 2-0 win. 

The next match was against Kelvedon. Despite Kelvedon having a corner, Year 6's Kyle sprinted past their defence on the counter attack to score a wonderful goal. Despite going into the lead at half time, either side could have scored several in the second half. It was Kelvedon who scored next and the game finished 1-1. Up next was Stanway Fiveways who respectfully took their chances well and recorded a 3-0 win. 

Our final two matches came up against Braiswick. A close encounter ensured Braiswick ran out 2-0 winners in the first match. However, the team showed fantastic resilience and reflection from this match. As such, Camulos ran out 1-0 winners in the second match. Year 6's Jack scored with a cool finish. 

Camulos finished a respectable 5th place in their group. Well done team!
